Provide maintenance support to the safe and reliable plant operation by administering outsourced contractor maintenance services, while ensuring work is planned, scheduled and executed safely and efficiently.
Leads the administration of all the outsourced contractors to ensure safe, cost effective and quality work are done.
Primary person responsible for the functioning of the maintenance management system (SAP R/3 Plant Maintenance Module) and the material management
Lead the outsourced personnel/contractor group on key maintenance work processes.
Champions safe work practices and ensure contractor safety
Leads or participate in continuous improvement projects as driven by the business
Lead and function as a resource person for plant maintenance services including preventive, predictive and breakdown activities.
Ensure Maintenance KPIs are tracked and adhered to meet plant objectives
To monitor and plan statutory and other regulatory requirements related to plant.
An effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Performing inspection of routine segments for various product services / maintenance and repair activities.
Lead the preparation for inspection plans and execution of inspection plan
Inspection and condition monitoring of critical areas of identified equipments and piping for compliance against relevant standards and codes
Prepare reports for various inspection & monitor NDT
Review 3rd party inspection reports with findings and recommendations and RL calculations
Support daily maintenance and major outage/ shutdown/turnaround Maintenance and Inspection activites.
Perform equipment troubleshooting and equipment failure root cause/failure analysis to provide recommendations for equipment repairs and improvement
Work closely with Inspection counter-parts and support daily activities and participate in the development of fixed equipment and piping inspection strategy.
Review the Project / Maintenance related ITP, manuals, procedures, specification requirements
At least 3 years as Maintenance/Inspection specialist in the petrochemical or refinery/Chemical industry required for this position
Diploma in Mechanical /Metallurgy Engineering or equivalent
In depth knowledge of contract administration best practices at various phases from the need identification, contracting strategy, contract award, implementation, performance review and finally to the invoice clearing process.
Familiar with the plant equipment, maintenance needs and frequent maintenance issues so as to be able to lead and coordinate urgent maintenance work.
Conversant with SAP R/3 for the PM module
Well conversant with various international codes and standards such as ASME/API etc. for static equipments
Familiarity with Inspection Database Management Software, familiarity with PSAIM (Integrity Software) is an added advantage
Well versed with all conventional and advanced NDT techniques and it's application.
Basic knowledge of welding inspection and QA/QC and corrosion, Coating & Painting.
Conversant with various damage mechanisms in Petrochemical or Refinery or Chemical industry
