Negotiate contracts with logistics suppliers and aligned to Global Compliance Policy & Logistics Procurement guiding principles Define, justify and source logistics infrastructure, evaluate and develop suppliers. Work with suppliers within the various modes of transport services to develop and deliver y-o-y cost savings projects Coordinate, consolidate, monitor and report on freight spend monitor; analyze expenditures and other financial information, to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets Analyze and develop plans to improve Logistics costs by delivering productivity projects Consolidate, prepare and circulate commentaries and set-up a communications channel on the Logistics market such as cost trends, routes, fleet/ capacity Have the ability to be a change agent who will look for and drive new and best practices to deliver leading performance in the area of Logistics Familiar with logistics suppliers in the Asia-Pacific region.
Financial acumen: Interpreting and applying the understanding of key financial indicators to make better contractual decisions Tech savvy: Ability to navigate the technical needs of SAP, TMS, WMS and other technical transportation solutions Resourcefulness: Translates business strategies into actionable plans by leveraging market and functional knowledge Cultivates innovation: Creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful, drive changes . Develop and execute major negotiation strategies as well as supervising lower value contract negotiation with various vendors for all modes of transportation and storage. Responsible for year over year spend savings. Maintains critical strategic supplier relationships to continually dialogue and develop “leading edge” ideas to further advance and create long term competitive advantage for the businesses. Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based upon previous performance and established criteria which will result in “value creation” and competitive advantage. 3+ years of commercial experience in the chemical transport and/or storage industry Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or technical area (Engineering, Chemistry, etc.)
