The Full Stack Developer will support the Celanese Digitalization effort. The ideal candidate should be proficient with for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. The focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows as well as the development of all server-side logic and APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests. The candidate will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain.

The candidate will be the technical lead of the local POD team in India. The candidate will coordinate with the an international cross-functional developer team for a project. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead of the local POD team in India. Coordinate with the an international cross-functional developer team for a project.
• Design, develop and deploy low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to drive business value
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

• General
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another quantitative field
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing and implementing applications and solutions
  • Ability to provide end-to-end code including frontend, backend and other tiers.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and Azure Devops.
  • Strong unit test and debugging skills.
  • Experience with developing software with Agile
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Backend
  • Deep expertise and hands on using Java Script (Node.JS)
  • Knowledge of writing APIs
  • Experience with Azure cloud services, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Azure Devops, Forms Recognizer, Cognitive Services, Key Vault, Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Frontend
  • Expertise on front-end technologies, such as JavaScript (React.JS), HTML5, and CSS3

• Thorough understanding of React and its core principles
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

• Experience with popular React workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
