Job Description - Senior Reliability Engineer (Electrical) / Electrical - Subject Matter Expert Electrical Reliability and Maintenance:
-Provide technical subject matter expertise to enhance the electrical reliability and ensuring all KPIs are met.
-Improve reliability of electrical equipment by implementing repair recommendations and conducting inspections based on engineering codes and standards.
-Provide troubleshooting services to resolve electrical issues impacting safety, quality and reliable plant operations.
-Develop and implement electrical maintenance and productivity improvement strategies including productivity projects to reduce costs and enhance electrical equipment efficiency. ----Liaison with OEMs and vendors for reliability improvement works and raise PRs for spares and services.
-Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, analyze reports and address recurring issues.
-Roll out reliability improvement programs for the site based on global directives.
-Identify, procure and manage the critical spares required for electrical maintenance.
-Lead reliability-related RCA/Failure Investigations and conduct FMEA.
-Review and grade the low-level RCAs performed by technicians and suggest action plans.
-Lead the RCM and CERR programs for electrical discipline addressing critical issues and bad actors.
-Provide technical support for process safety studies like PHA related to electrical discipline.
-Execute Turnaround job scopes for electrical discipline and ensuring all the TA KPIs are met.
-Review standard maintenance procedures and risk assessments for electrical equipment.
-Support global and site audits related to electrical reliability and close assigned action items.
-Raise MOCs for new projects and non-RIK modifications related to reliability improvement.
-Provide cost-saving ideas and productivity projects to reduce maintenance and TA costs.
-Review and optimize the warehouse inventory stock for electrical discipline-related spares.
-Support procurement teams in the vendor selection and approval process.
-Coordinate with OEM, electrical vendors, service contractors to define scopes, schedules and progress updates.
-Prepare five-year capital plan for discipline-related projects and lead reliability improvement capital projects.
-Expertise in electrical system studies such as short-circuit calculations, load flow analysis, relay coordination, motor starting analysis, harmonics studies and arc flash analysis.
-Proficiency with electrical equipment such as MV/LV switchgear, induction motors, power and control cables, bus ducts, UPS systems, transformers, diesel generators, VFDs, and SS.
-Good understanding of single line diagrams, control schematics, interconnection diagrams and logic diagrams.
-Strong knowledge of Singapore’s earthing, lightning protection requirements and hazardous area classification.
-Review vendor drawings and electrical design calculations for electrical equipment and perform FAT of electrical systems at OEM/Vendor sites for electrical projects.
-Execute SAT, loop testing, interlock, function testing, assist in electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical projects.
-Prepare project close-out reports, hand over systems to operations and update technical documentation.
-Participate and support the safety, quality and reliability programs of the site.
-Mentor electrical team members in areas of technical expertise and provide training to in-house electrical contractors and operations team on mandatory electrical trainings.
-Network with peers and industry experts to adopt best practices for technology improvement and reliability programs
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Qualification
