Basic qualification
- Follow laboratory safety rules and company EHS
- Has working experience in lab function, enjoying lab work
- Ability to plan, and execute lab activities on time under supervision
- Bachelor (or associate degree in Technical college) in Polymer science, Chemistry, Chemical, or Material Science/Engineering (or related fields).
- Good problem solving skills
- 5+ years of experience in laboratory under technical service or R&D environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Japanese, also an ability to read/write/oral communication in English.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to teamwork
- Skills with computer data entry and applications such as Microsoft applications
- Positive/Proactive attitude to develop skills required for personal development.
Additional (Desired) qualification
- Experience in polymer characterization (rheology, mechanical properties, weathering, chemical resistance, etc.)
- Rubber processing (mixing, roll mill, press, etc.) and property evaluation.
- Experience in specifying and installing measurement equipment and devices related to plastics and rubbers.
- Knowledge of standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.) for plastics and rubber evaluation.
- Proficiency on the use of statistical analysis tool
- Hazardous Materials Engineer’s license
- Operations chief of hazardous work of oxygen deficiency
