Responsibilities 职责:

  • Instrumental analysis and Physical property evaluation of engineered material. (Plastics, rubber and elastomer, etc.)
  • Evaluation of application/Parts
  • Lab-scale processing (mixing, roll mill, press, etc.) and physical property evaluation.
  • Summarizing measurement results, preparing reports, and responding to requesters with test results.
  • Investigation of new analytical methods and introduction of new equipment.
  • Optimization of current methods/procedure.
  • Management of equipment (maintenance and repair)
  • Participation in safety improvement activities and committees.
  • Collaboration with other groups and miscellaneous task.

Qualifications 要求:

Basic qualification

  • Follow laboratory safety rules and company EHS
  • Has working experience in lab function, enjoying lab work
  • Ability to plan, and execute lab activities on time under supervision
  • Bachelor (or associate degree in Technical college) in Polymer science, Chemistry, Chemical, or Material Science/Engineering (or related fields).
  • Good problem solving skills
  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory under technical service or R&D environment
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Japanese, also an ability to read/write/oral communication in English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to teamwork
  • Skills with computer data entry and applications such as Microsoft applications
  • Positive/Proactive attitude to develop skills required for personal development.

 

Additional (Desired) qualification

  • Experience in polymer characterization (rheology, mechanical properties, weathering, chemical resistance, etc.)
  • Rubber processing (mixing, roll mill, press, etc.) and property evaluation.
  • Experience in specifying and installing measurement equipment and devices related to plastics and rubbers.
  • Knowledge of standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.) for plastics and rubber evaluation.
  • Proficiency on the use of statistical analysis tool
  • Hazardous Materials Engineer’s license
  • Operations chief of hazardous work of oxygen deficiency
