Specialist, Environmental, Health & Safety

Lead all EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) activities in Engineered Materials Compounding Plant and Technical & Innovations at Utsunomiya site.

Expect to comply with Japanese regulation and Celanese safety standards including related US regulation, global standard such as ISO etc.

Collaborate with global Celanese Stewardship organization and carry out the effective and efficient EHS activities to protect all people’s safety and health in the site.

This assignment will be taken after assignment at Compounding operation Manufacturing Technology for training purpose with certain period.

As EHS specialist at Utsunomiya

• Has the responsibility for responsibility code, especially people safety, occupational health, machine safety, distribution safety and laboratory safety.
• Communicate closely with site leader for EHS improvement at the site
• Communicate closely with global Stewardship network
• Develop and manage Site Sustainable program
• Create and update EHS Site Rule and procedures in accordance with Japanese regulatory and CE EHS standards
• Implement new and refresh training for site personnel in accordance with site rules. Etc.)  First day training of newcomer at the site, Safety training for contractors, ergonomics training, etc.
• Lead incident investigation in site and follow CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action)
• Lead site EMS (Environmental Management System) for environment improvement through communication with global team
• Manage internal and external audits related to EHS.
• Communicate with external authority (city, labor office, fire department.. etc) and manage external matter on EH&S.

Essential:

• MS/BA degree or equivalent is preferable
• Operation experience more than 5 years.
• Good communication skill in oral and written manners for shop employee, contractors in Japanese
• Good communication skill in oral and written manners - including reading and writing in English
• Ability / or a developing competence in the following:

• Safety manager (安全管理者)
• Health supervisor (衛生管理者)
• Fire protection manager（防火管理者）
• Hazardous materials handler（消防法危険物取扱者）
