Job Overview 综述:

The Procurement Optimization Manager is responsible for leading a team within the Logistics Business Solution (LBS) group, overseeing operations across multiple shipping locations, including third-party marine terminals, warehouses, and manufacturing sites. This role is accountable for vendor relationships and performance management, ensuring optimization in domestic and international logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, compliance adherence, and logistics system enhancements. The manager serves as the key liaison between supply chain, commercial, planning, and procurement teams, driving strategic alignment and operational efficiency across all Celanese business lines.

Responsibilities 职责:

  • Manage strategic partnerships with 3PL logistics vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key logistics providers to drive service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with procurement and planning teams to deploy new logistics projects, productivity initiatives, and process enhancements.
  • Oversee adherence to all regulatory standards, including trade and customs compliance, ISO 9000, Sarbanes-Oxley, Responsible Care, and Dangerous Goods regulations.
  • Establish and track KPIs for carriers, warehouse operations, and terminal management to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee workforce planning, business continuity strategies, performance reviews, and career development initiatives for the team.
  • Manage SOX, ISO, and internal audits related to third-party logistics (3PL) operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains a safe working environment, utilizing all available resources to ensure the safety and security of employees and property
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company information
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5-8 years’ experience in logistics procurement, supply chain, or vendor management
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in logistics with direct team oversight
  • Expertise in Six Sigma, LEAN methodologies, and operational efficiency strategies
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, including inventory management
  • Ability to travel up to 15 % a year or more based on the business needs
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
